The only path to salvation for the Ukrainian nation is through rebuilding of ties with its Russian and Soviet heritages, said the leader of the Essence of Time social and political movement an analyst and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan on the Sunday evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on the Russia 1 TV channel on May 24.
“If you want to save the nation, come back to re-Sovetization and re-Russification, declare the correct logic, find people, and save all that remains. And what you are doing now is the systematic destruction of the Ukrainian state, Ukrainian society, Ukrainian nation, Ukrainian culture and everything that your ancestors have achieved,” Kurginyan said, addressing the Ukrainians.
According to the political scientist, any private statements regarding the veneration of ancestors are destroyed by the official position of the Ukrainian authorities regarding May 9, implying the glorification of Bandera and Nazi collaborators who fought on the side of Hitler. At the same time, all the excuses as if someone has a viewpoint different from the official position, are simply absurd, Kurginyan noted.
“So, they will rape you however they want, and you will state your position during the time remaining from these sexual pleasures? Is this what free people do? Is this how people, who want to be respected as a nation, as a society, as people who know their truth, behave themselves? [No.] People who are practically broken behave themselves like this. And what is broken will then be destroyed. Wake up and overcome your broken spirits,” Kurginyan urged.
