22.01.2020, Moscow.

The President of Colombia Iván Duque is ready for another meeting with the leader of the Venezuelan opposition Juan Guaidó at the World Economic Forum that is taking place in Davos on January 20-24, EFE reported on January 22.

Duque, who has already arrived in Switzerland, said that Colombia will continue supporting Guaidó in order to see Venezuela free.

Guaidó has already met with Duque on Sunday, January 19, in Bogota, Colombia. The leader of the Venezuelan opposition came to Colombia in violation of a decision of the Venezuelan Supreme Court, which banned him from leaving the country. On January 20 in Bogota, Guaidó met with the US State Secretary Mike Pompeo. The opposition activist plans to attend the Davos forum and visit a number of the EU countries.

While the Colombian president is visiting Davos and planning a meeting with the Venezuelan opposition leader, mass rallies against the social and economic policy of his cabinet are taking place in his country, escalating to street disorders. Barricades are being built and streets blocked in Bogota. 11 people have been injured, and about 100 arrested.
