The consultations with the Netherlands regarding the MH17 crash are confidential, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Aleksandr Grushko said on July 19, the Ministry’s press service reports.
According to Grushko, the agreement on the private status of the talks was made at the very beginning.
Previously, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that “the Netherlands authorities increasingly abuse the feelings and the grief of the МН17 victims’ family members in their attempts to promote the ideas of Russia’s involvement to the global public opinion.”
The Malaysia Airlines flight crashed near the eastern border of Ukraine on July 17, 2014, killing 298 people. An international team led by the Netherlands is charged with the investigation.
According to the team’s primary report, the Buk air defense missile system that shot the Boeing was brought from Russia and then returned back. In the spring of 2018, the Kremlin expressed distrust to the investigation results.
