Igor Zubov, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, at the parliamentary hearings called Ukrainian citizens the main distributors of synthetic drugs in Russia, UNIAN Ukrainian news agency reported on February 20.
Igor Zubov accused Ukraine of producing and trafficking the synthetic drugs into Russia and Europe. “We are talking about a new drug producing and trafficking country, and this country, unfortunately, is Ukraine,” said the Deputy Minister. According to Igor Zubov, Argentinian Security Services have also recognized the new “Ukrainian factor”.
Viktor Ivanov, the Director of Russia’s Federal Service for Drug Control, said that about 50,000 young people die each year in Russia due to drug use, this rate is about 12 times higher than in Europe.
