More than 30 disabled workers of DPR received free prostheses in August

More than 30 workers in Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), disabled due to occupational disease or injury at work, were provided with free prosthetic as a part of the state program in August, the Chairman of the Social Insurance Fund for Occupational Injury Vladimir Arnov informed Donetsk News Agency.

“This month, 31 disabled workers were provided with prosthetic and orthopedic devices, which cost a total of 590.3 thousand rubles (8 123.08 euro – Editor),” Arnov said.

He added that in the next month, the fund plans to allocate nearly 180 thousand rubles (2 476.97 euro – Editor) for the prosthesis program. 15 people are waiting for the prostheses.

The Social Insurance Fund for Occupational Injury of Donetsk People’s Republic was formally established on December 9th, 2014. In fact, the Fund has begun to function in the summer of 2015 by starting to pay the insurance payments. For the first time in the history of DPR, the people injured at work were provided with prostheses in September 2015.
