Donetsk People’s Republic army repelled the attack of the Ukrainian military on the Yasinovataya direction, the enemy suffered large casualties, “Essence of Time” unit reported on their official page in the social networks.
Kiev’s military, having entrenched with their 81st air mobile brigade and additional units of “Right Sector“, tried to attack DPR army positions, but were repelled. During the attack the Ukrainian army suffered large casualties. A number of DPR army servicemen also were wounded and killed.
The activity of the Ukrainian sabotage units escalated. A Ukrainian sabotage-recon unit blew up in an attempt to get deeper into the territory of the Republic in the area of Shyrokino village. Having lost one fighter, the group retreated.
Trench warfare continued during the day in Zaytsevo village on Gorlovka direction. The enemy fired artillery, anti-tank guns and tanks.
DPR army positions and residential buildings in Dokuchaevsk area were shelled.
Earlier, on March 27 Ukrainian army fired artillery and tanks on Donetsk and Gorlovka directions. The area of Donetsk airport, Spartak village, Yasinivataya road police post and Zaytsevo village were shelled.
