50 Ukrainian drones were destroyed over Russian territory on Saturday night, the Russian Defense Ministry’s press service said on April 20.
“During the past night, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out several terrorist attacks using airplane-type UAVs against facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation were foiled. Air defense units destroyed and intercepted fifty Ukrainian UAVs,” the statement reads.
26 UAVs were neutralized over the territory of the Belgorod region, ten – over the territory of the Bryansk region, eight – over the territory of the Kursk region, two – over the Tula region, as well as one each over the territories of the Smolensk, Ryazan, Kaluga and Moscow regions.
In the Belgorod Region, a woman and a man were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said. A private residential house and a barn were also completely burned down. Another residential house sustained significant damage.
Ukrainian nationalists regularly attack central and border regions of Russia with UAVs and strike infrastructure, as well as civilian and social facilities.
