Building of a new apartment building for 40 Debaltsevo families, whose houses were damaged or destroyed in combat, are finished. On November 2nd, the Head of Donetsk People’s Republic Aleksandr Zakharchenko checked the readiness of the first apartment building built as a part of the state funding program.

The building is ready for housing residents. It is a nice dwelling, and, I hope, that we will continue such projects and will be able to provide all the willing families with apartments,” Zakharchenko said after examining the apartments.

A five-storey building is situated in Vostochny micro district. 40 apartments, 22 two-room apartments and 18 one-room apartments, are ready for housing people. The building was initially being constructed as a part of the project to create “temporary” housing. The families were supposed to reside here temporarily until their homes destroyed in the combats would be restored.

I talked to my colleagues, and we decided to turn this housing into permanent in response to the request of local authorities,” the Head of the Republic stressed.
