Kurginyan tells why US turned out to be “paper tiger” against Iran

A modern military strategic thinking, the unity of the nation, and a mosaic control system are the factors of Iran’s advantage over the US in the current conflict, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on April 17 on the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda.

According the political scientist, Iran’s military strategy consists of its ability to make an asymmetric response. “It was worked out and brilliantly implemented. And it turned out that it did not take too much to reach an overwhelming effect,” Sergey Kurginyan noted.

It is the military strategic thinking of “a really closed group in the core of the armed forces” of Iran that allowed it to make sensitive strikes on the US and Israel.

“It is not even the IRGC itself, it is something else. It is not Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, it is some force inside it, which successfully designed and implemented a fantastic military strategic asymmetric response. This is a fact,” the philosopher stressed.

A second factor of Iran’s impressive confrontation, according to the political scientist, is a military technical group “which controls Iran and which successfully hid the missiles in places that American bombs cannot reach.” In other words, Iran managed to keep its weapons for retaliatory strikes, “although the Iranian military machine is definitely much weaker than that of the United States.”

A third component of Iran’s advantage, according to Sergey Kurginyan, is “a global transformation of war itself,” when “the US turned out to be archaic within the military strategy as compared to Iran,” and the Iranians found a way to use this.

“This means that all those giant carriers in the new situation can well be reached by hypersonic missiles launched from some good missile boats. It is now much easier to hit these heavy billion-dollar monsters,” the political scientist noted.

As another factor of Iran’s holding out in the current conflict Sergey Kurginyan named “an overwhelming unity” of the Iranian nation.

The political scientist also noted that Iran designed a mosaic governance system “for which a strike on certain persons makes no difference.”

“For an authoritarian system, as under Saddam Hussein, the latter’s role is huge. But for a distributed system, when a younger IRGC leader comes to replace a killed one, it makes no difference given the readiness to pay the costs. The system only becomes more radical, and control is kept,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement explained.

According to him, “all this system of factors along with huge US susceptibility to casualties” gave Iran a great advantage in the war to hold out against a very powerful adversary.

The political scientist also indicated that Donald Trump’s political basis itself turned out to be very susceptible to Iran’s retaliatory strikes.

“As soon as Iran demonstrated its military technical, strategic, general political, governmental, and national capabilities, all this US system stalled. It turned out to be a real paper tiger about which, on another occasion (rightfully or not), Mao Zedong spoke. This is where this ‘paper tiger’ exposed itself,” Sergey Kurginyan concluded.
