The main threat to Israel is not Iran and its hypothetical nuclear weapons, but the growing radical Islamism in the Middle East, philosopher, political scientist, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan stated on February 7 on the Right to Know program on the TVC channel.
Commenting on the possible developments in the situation due to the growing US pressure on Iran and the impact of the scandal surrounding the publication of new documents in the Jeffrey Epstein case, the analyst recalled the witty and at the same time strongly anti-US film Wag the Dog. According to the expert, the escalation around Iran could be growing to distract the public attention in the United States from the Epstein case, because Trump and the entire US elite likely made use of the services of this criminal.
“They were all there! They’re all involved in this! There’s compromising information on everyone, so to speak,” stated Sergey Kurginyan.
Epstein’s activities, judging by the individuals involved, had a trans-partisan and transnational nature, political scientist noted. “It turns out that everyone is hungry for this bait, and in this case their traditionalism immediately disappears. And clearly, Trump looks like a kind of fellow who likes such things, and he certainly had a hand in this too,” the analyst added.
“They’ll be digging into this now. If [Trump] needs to put an end to this quickly, he needs to present something very powerfull,” Kurginyan emphasized.
At the same time, it’s important to convey to Israeli ruling circles where current trends in Israeli-Iranian relations are leading, and that the real danger to Israel is the destruction of developing countries in the Middle East, he said.
“Iran poses absolutely no threat to Israel. Zero! Just like Syria once was. Only flies were buzzing over the Golan Heights. Everything was fine,” the analyst said.
Now, representatives of radical Islamist groups have come to power in Syria, and Turkey’s influence in the region has grown. “Now [in Israel] they’re scratching their heads and wondering: ‘Could Erdogan be even worse than Khamenei?'” Kurginyan added.
According to him, the real danger to Israel is not nuclear weapons, which could easily be delivered from Pakistan or elsewhere, but the increasingly widespread radical Islamism in the Middle East.
“The only danger for Israel is a caliphate. That is, a large number of people who love excesses, involving plastic explosives and machine guns. That’s it! And that’s deadly!” the analyst concluded.
