Azerbaijan is converging with Israel, and it can become a scene for certain games, against Iran as well, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on July 25 on the program Conversation with a Sage on radio Zvezda.
The political scientist explained that a strong Sunni-Shia brotherhood between Turkey and Iran is quite doubtful. “Since the time of Ferdowsi (Persian poet, 940-1020, a classic of the Persian literature, the author of an epic poem “Shahnameh” – Rossa Primavera News Agency) we never saw anything like that, but we saw a deadly conflict described in metaphysical expressions where Turan is darkness and Iran is light,” Sergey Kurginyan stressed.
The analyst also noted that “the US and the Israeli shamefully lost everything related to Iran, shamefully! Iran won it all.” In the 12-day war between Iran and Israel the Western media continued to broadcast the pattern they developed for years that Israel always wins in the region.
Sergey Kurginyan explained that if Israel and the US decide to attack Iran again the reaction of Turkey and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be important. “On the one hand, the Islamic one, Erdoğan is making some gestures that Israel is so terrible, but on the other hand, there are games everywhere. Where is the center of these games? In Azerbaijan,” the political scientist noted.
“This is where Aliyev and the Azerbaijani top officials want to outperform Ankara. They want, firstly, to become closer to Israel. Erdoğan is also close, but he keeps going back and forth to maintain his authority in the Islamic world. These guys [the Azerbaijani] are becoming even closer, even with Britain (British Petroleum etc.), but with Israel as well,” Sergey Kurginyan stressed.
The political scientist explained that in this situation Azerbaijan can discuss even joining Israeli attacks against Iran.
“Even more evident is their readiness to take a contract against Iran, which is possible due to territorial, potential, and Azerbaijani factors as some part of the Azerbaijani factor is located inside Iran. Thus, this is where they are already looking, ‘you assist us, and then we will assist you,’” the analyst explained a possible scenario.
