Russian USV sinks a Ukrainian reconnaissance ship

A Russian unmanned surface vessel sank a Ukrainian reconnaissance ship in the Danube estuary, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry stated on August 28.

It was specified that in the Danube estuary, a Russian high-speed unmanned surface vessel attacked the medium reconnaissance ship Simferopol of the Ukrainian Navy. As a result, the Simferopol sank.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted that Russian air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian Air Force Su-27 aircraft, two guided aerial bombs, two US-made HIMARS rockets, and 192 fixed-wing drones.

In addition, it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces, using tactical aviation, strike drones, and artillery, struck Ukrainian ammunition and UAV depots, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian units in 153 locations.
