One cannot ignore the threats posed by the “Great Turan”, which has already started to undermine the integrity of Russia, political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on July 25 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
“There is no such thing as sovereign, independent, self-sufficient Azerbaijan. It does not exist! There is a Turkish aspect, and the leader talks about it. ‘One nation – two states’ – that’s all, which means that tomorrow it will become ‘one nation – one state’,” the political scientist noted.
Today’s Russian elites do not want to talk about Turan, pretending that it does not exist at all, the analyst emphasized. These people do not want to notice.
“Well, there are corresponding maps, they show all the territories of Turan as a future state, according to the ideas of certain people (but not Russian elite), this Turan is being rebuilt on the ruins of the Russian civilization, pardon me. They exist, just look at them! They speak volumes. Take a closer look at the situation in Tatarstan and so on,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
The analyst warned that it is necessary to increase complementary relationships with Turkey and at the same time not allow any anti-Turkic reaction towards Russian citizens, towards the subjects of the Russian Federation, but it is also necessary to pay attention to the threats of the “Great Turan” project.
“What do you do when someone is coercing you? And, by the way, the East is coercing, the East that only understands and respects power. How do you combine complementary relationships with strength? At what moment this balance is lost? In other words, when and at whose behest will Azerbaijan coerce Russia, no matter how strange it may seem? Yet, this is already happening!” the political scientist explained.
He said that he was greatly impressed by the character of the third president of Azerbaijan Geydar Aliyev, and how he ruled with “authority in this region of the former Soviet Union.” At the same time, it seemed, that his son Ilham Aliyev was softer than his father, but that was before the victory in Karabakh, Kurginyan noted.
“And now he achieved this victory. Armenia, personalized by its President Pashinyan, betrayed Karabakh, it did not even allow the Russians to provide military-technical assistance. None of the supplies were transferred to Karabakh. And this is the full truth about the situation. But whatever this truth is, does anyone estimate the scale of the current euphoria in this regard? It is enormous,” the political scientist explained.
As a result of this victory, “a great leader has emerged,” noted Sergey Kurginyan. This leader tells the Ukrainians at the Shusha Media Forum, “Never resign yourself to the loss of any territories! We did not resign ourselves, we conquered everything, and you will reconquer Crimea and so on.” More over, Aliyev accepted the chevrons from the Nazi Ukrainian units banned in Russia, the political scientist recalled.
Now the Azerbaijani president speaks to Russia accordingly. “He acts as a khan, and he will always be arrogant towards Russia and very complimentary towards Turkey,” the analyst noted.
An uncontrollable desire to be friends with Turkey and Azerbaijan without taking into account the possible threats could lead to big problems, because behind Aliyev and Erdogan are “the Grey Wolves [ultranationalist, terrorist organization – translator’s note] lurking – personalized by Ilham Geydarovich Aliyev’s closest relatives (and he knows this better than I do, in more detail), and those who stand behind Erdogan,” stressed the expert.
As for the Grey Wolves, Russia will definitely not be able to be friends with them, Sergey Kurginyan warned.
