Representatives from Iran, Russia, and China decided to continue discussions on Iran’s nuclear program in the coming weeks during a meeting in Tehran, Iranian news agency Tasnim wrote on July 22.
According to the agency, the trilateral meeting of diplomats from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia, and China took place at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The participants discussed the state of negotiations on nuclear issues and possible ways to lift sanctions imposed on Iran.
Representatives of the three countries emphasized the importance of and interest in continuing consultations to coordinate their positions and actions.
“Meetings between the three countries will continue in the coming weeks at various levels,” Tasnim noted.
On the night of June 13, Israel launched a military operation against Iran under the pretext of an alleged covert military nuclear program. Missile strikes were carried out on Iran’s nuclear industry facilities and airbases, along with acts of sabotage targeting the republic’s generals and leading nuclear physicists.
Iran responded with missile and drone strikes on Israeli military and industrial facilities.
