For Israel in its current condition, a deadly threat is not the Iranian nuclear project, but caliphatism with a Kalashnikov rifle and a billion of shahids, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on June 27 on the program Conversation with a Sage on radio Zvezda.
According to the political scientist, caliphatism is death for Israel, and in order to avoid it, they have to support national states instead of overthrowing them. To this end, Israel must establish relations with Sufis, national-oriented Islam, and national states even with Islamic, although not radical, specifics.
“They must look for a place with those who do not need caliphatism. However, with their super-bombs they are building up the caliphatist capabilities,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
The philosopher noted that if we assume that Iran is gone, then caliphatism will not be gone; instead, it will even strengthen its positions.
“As soon as Iran is, so to say, weakened to the end, Turkey will take all its prizes, and it will become a major threat itself. Did not they already hear that, according to Turkish neo-Ottomanists, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv are cities of the Ottoman Empire?” the political scientist points out the trend.
According to Kurginyan, does not Israel understand that the caliphatists and the Arabs are competing for destroying the crusaders to become Salah ad-Din? He quoted Yasser Arafat who in the end of his life told someone he knew, “I do not want to die as a leader of a small Middle Eastern state, but I want to die as Salah ad-Din.”
The political scientist stressed that the Israeli authorities do not understand what they are doing. Iran has no nuclear bomb, and even if it had it, no one would want to use it. With its actions, Israel only encourages the building of nuclear weapons.
“And if they wanted the bomb to be made, they have done everything they could to make them start making it. These physicists, other physicists… Of course, they will find someone who will help them. Should I tell you how the nuclear bomb in Pakistan was made and who made it? There will always be those eager to help. The world consists not only of states. There are bigger actors than states, which will find what to do. All they need as a demand. And there is a demand: if we are negotiating with you, and you only want to destroy us, then the only guarantee against our destruction is nuclear weapons, so we will make them!
