Russian Foreign Ministry comments on Trump’s decision regarding new arms deliveries to Kiev

15.07.2025, Moscow.

The delivery of weapons to Kiev through NATO countries, as announced by US President Donald Trump, demonstrates that the United States is not interested in peace, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Grushko to journalists on July 15.

“This is yet another sign that NATO is not truly interested in peace,” Grushko emphasized.

On July 11, Trump announced that NATO countries would cover the cost of American weapons, which would later be transferred to Ukraine. On July 14, during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump stated that the arms deal with Europe offers a chance for reaching peace.

Earlier, the Trump administration had temporarily suspended arms deliveries to Ukraine, including missiles for Patriot systems, citing the need for an audit of military aid.
