The Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol, which develops and manufactures Tor air defense missile systems (ADMS), tripled its production output since the beginning of Russia’s special military operation, said the company’s general director Fanil Ziyatdinov in an interview published on July 15 by National Defense magazine.
“Since 2022, our plant has tripled its production output,” he emphasized.
The director noted that the plant underwent a full transformation over three years – from 2022 to 2025. The production of highly complex equipment was launched in a record-setting six months.
A new system for servicing equipment directly in the combat zone was also developed, and the repairability of the systems was increased threefold.
In 2024 alone, production increased by 1.6 times, Ziyatdinov noted. All obligations to customers were fulfilled. The enterprise is the largest employer in the region, having hired three thousand new employees over the past few years.
