The Russian Foreign Ministry accused the United Nations and its Secretary-General António Guterres of regularly repeating lies of the Kiev regime, according to a statement released on July 10.
“The UN Secretary-General and his subordinates routinely disseminate the lies of Kiev and the West,” the statement said. The ministry specifically called the claims that Russia might have motives to interfere with the operation of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) absurd.
Moscow demanded that the UN abandon its biased stance in promoting Western propaganda. The ministry emphasized that, in conducting its special military operation, Russia takes all necessary measures to comply with international humanitarian law.
Guterres recently commented on the largest Russian strike on Ukrainian military targets since the beginning of the special military operation. He claimed that the attack allegedly disrupted the power supply to the ZNPP.
