Russia will do everything possible to minimize the impact of sanctions, said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov to journalists on July 8.
“Undoubtedly, we will closely monitor developments in this area. There were earlier statements claiming that a new package of similar sanctions had already been prepared. Our position here is well known. Naturally, we will do everything we’ve learned over the years to minimize the consequences of these illegal restrictions as much as possible,” Peskov stated.
He noted that the Russian government has learned much and has considerable experience in this area, which it will apply moving forward.
On July 8, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated on LCI television that the European Union is preparing to impose the toughest sanctions against Russia in the past three years.
