Part of Iran’s urban population, which is generally loyal to the West, will leave the country, while the other will grow to hate the US and Israel, the political scientist Sergey Kurginyan wrote in his article Iran-Israel War published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 636.
According to the expert, Iran’s urban population does gravitate toward the West, perceiving all Islamic austerities in a specific way, while Western pleasures prohibited in Islam are moderately accessible in Iranian cities.
If Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who is focused on resolving the conflict through negotiations, is excluded from the political process, then even the urban population loyal to the West will react accordingly and the US will not be able to rely on him, the leader of the Essence of Time movement notes in his article.
“Part of the urban population will try to leave Iran. And it will no longer provide any support to its beloved West. Part of the urban population will be deeply embittered toward the Israelis and Americans and will completely reverse its ideological orientation,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
According to the political analyst, the USA and Israel should not count on the support of Iran’s rural population either, as the West is hated there. Residents of Iranian villages and small towns are mostly oriented toward Islamic values and will be unequivocally mobilized for war.
