Denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine must be mandatory provisions in any peace agreement with Kiev, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated on July 7.
The diplomat also emphasized that the agreement must include the withdrawal of Ukraine’s legal claims against Russia, the lifting of sanctions, and the return of Russian assets.
Lavrov reiterated that Russia has always been and remains open to a diplomatic resolution of the Ukrainian issue.
Earlier, Lavrov said that a third round of negotiations with Ukraine is currently under discussion. According to him, Russia is seeking a definitive peace, not merely a pause in the conflict.
