The Iranian authorities have decided to no longer allow Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), access to its nuclear facilities, according to the Mehr news agency said Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hamid-Reza Haji Babaei, on June 28.
The Iranian government has refused to grant IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi access to nuclear infrastructure facilities, the agency reports. In addition, the ban extends to the installation and use of video surveillance, which was previously carried out under IAEA control.
The country’s authorities took these measures after documents received from the Israeli side revealed information about the status of Iran’s nuclear program. As the publication’s source clarified, “Iran will no longer allow Grossi access to its nuclear facilities, nor will it allow video surveillance cameras to be installed there.”
Earlier, Grossi himself emphasized the agency’s interest in the speedy restoration of international control in Iran.
