Iran will not suspend its nuclear energy activities following US military strikes, the ISNA news agency wrote on June 22, citing a representative from the Iranian Parliament’s Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy.
According to the report, the committee held a special session attended by senior officials from Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“During this session, officials of our country emphasized that nuclear activities will not be halted as a result of this attack,” the source told the agency.
In the early hours of Sunday, June 22, the United States launched strikes on three sites in Iran allegedly involved in nuclear weapons development. These included facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.
US President Donald Trump stated that the goal of the operation was to limit Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons. He also warned that if Tehran does not agree to end this war, the consequences will be far more severe.
