Each year that the conscription age is lowered in Ukraine, the Ukrainian troops will gain an additional 100,000 people. These are the calculations of the Ukrainian General Staff and Ministry of Defense, according to Sergey Yevtushok, a deputy from the Batkivshchyna party, as reported by the Ukrainian Strana news agency on June 13.
“Every year, 100,000. If the age of conscription changes from 25 to 24, that’s an additional 100,000. That’s how the General Staff calculated it,” the deputy said. However, according to him, the Kiev regime has no plans to lower the age of conscription.
Earlier, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said that Western countries refuse to strengthen sanctions against Russia until Ukraine lowers the mobilization age to 18.
On June 2, in Istanbul, during the second round of direct talks between Moscow and Kiev, the Russian side said it would hand over 6,000 bodies of the dead to Ukraine. To date, Russia has handed over 1,212 bodies of deceased Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel to Ukraine and received 27 bodies of deceased Russian soldiers.
