Israel attacked the air force base in Hamadan, Iran, but the aircraft at the base remain on full combat alert, Tasnim news agency reported on June 13.
According to information provided by the agency: “A correspondent… received information that the base was damaged, but the aircraft are on full combat alert.”
It is reported that Israel also attacked an air defense base in the Subashi area, located near the city of Hamadan. According to Tasnim, there were no reports of casualties in the area.
On the night of June 13, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a large-scale operation. As part of this operation, the Israeli Air Force is striking military targets and facilities related to Iran’s nuclear program.
The goal of the operation is to prevent a threat to Israel’s existence, as, according to Israeli military and intelligence sources, Iran may soon reach the point of no return in the development of nuclear weapons.
The Israeli Air Force carried out several waves of attacks in various parts of Iran, including Tehran. According to Iranian media reports, the attacks killed high-ranking Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists. A strike was also carried out on a nuclear facility in Natanz and Iranian military bases in the north-west of the country.
In his address to the Iranian people, the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, condemned Israel’s actions as criminal. He also expressed confidence that Israel would face a “bitter and terrible fate.”
