For the last period of time Ukrainian militants tend to surrender to Russian troops at the first opportunity, the head of the Russian Kharkov military-civil administration (MCA), Vitaliy Ganchev, said on 6 June, TASS reported.
According to Ganchev, the reason for such behavior was the successes of the Russian army at the front.
As he said, panic has been reigning among Ukrainian soldiers for quite some time. Many of them are forcibly mobilized into the army and are not willing to fight, so they try to surrender at the first opportunity. Earlier it was reported that to suppress the revolt of forcibly mobilized in the Kiev military recruitment office had to involve special forces. A video was posted on the Internet, which showed that the mobilized were chained to the batteries with zip ties.
Captured Ukrainian soldier Yuriy Sosna described cases when commanders ordered to open fire on residents of Chasov Yar who were trying to evacuate.
