The rapid escalation of the tragedy in India up to a conflict with Pakistan bears signs of artificial exacerbation and controlled escalation at both sides, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on April 26 on the Right to Know program on channel TVC.
“Someone is using it. It is absolutely clear that they use it. (…) However, the question is whether a power can be found that can be strongly instigated to have a conflict with China, right? This is the US’ idea,” Kurginyan said.
The political scientist reminded about the strategy the US has had since Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was in office, according to which the number one power on the globe makes an alliance with the number three power against the number two power. Previously, 1 was the US, 2 was the USSR, and 3 was China. Today, 1 is the US, 2 is China, and 3 is India.
Meanwhile, China, according to Kurginyan, does not want to have a conflict with India. Then, Pakistan appears as “a sufficiently convenient terminal for such things,” he added.
Further, according to the expert, the question is who and how can control Pakistan’s action, either through radical Islam or otherwise. The political scientist indicates that if it had been an accident the conflict could have been resolved in two days. Pakistan could have said it was sorry about the incident and promised a merciless punishment for those responsible, while the Indians could have supported that and declared mourning to avoid escalation.
Kurginyan stressed that in fact something absolutely different is taking place. India expels all the Pakistani nationals, and it strengthens its border guards, and tension continues to escalate. However, the number of the victims of the incident does not exceed that of the recent inter-ethnic or religious conflicts in India.
“Why is the reaction so fierce? It has a reason. So, this fierce reaction results from the fact that this conflict, although tragic and severe for India, with my deepest sympathy, is nevertheless being used as a tool to escalate the situation,” Kurginyan said.
He noted that these events are not only a conflict of nuclear states, and a question arises who will support Pakistan and who will support India.
Kurginyan explained that neither the top Indian elite nor Indian national parties want an escalation with China. However, some forces push the situation in certain direction using someone at each side to this end, he added.
“This is a major project,” the political scientist believes. Otherwise, the reaction to the tragedy should have been many times lower than we can see. Sophisticated attempts to escalate the conflict are being made, he believes.
“Those must be forces that can plan it both in time and place. Briefly, it can only be major elite-level security services groups. Either military or civil, or both,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
