The world is entering an era of wars, and there will no longer be a place for a consumption-minded man, who worships the golden calf, political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time Sergey Kurginyan said on April 26 on the Right to Know program on the TVC channel.
According to the political scientist, the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement, a very flexible pseudo-Christian movement spreading steadily and rapidly throughout the world, is hiding behind the conservatism proclaimed by Donald Trump.
“And most importantly, it has something that the rest of the West lacks. It possesses a religious drive, it has it! I mean all these Plymouth Brethren, Christian Zionists, these dispensationalists or the NAR itself,” Sergey Kurginyan noted.
General Michael Flynn, the former Director of the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), is among the NAR’s supporters. But Trump himself is also quite capable of becoming an authoritarian leader with the support of the NAR, the political scientist believes.
“I’m not saying that it’s going to be easy, but if he continues maneuvering within a democratic trap – that’s it! Everything will eventually be lost in court, slowly but surely – and this mousetrap will be slammed shut,” Sergey Kurginyan added.
At the same time, Donald Trump skillfully manipulates his voters’ emotions, making them believe in the real implementation of his election slogans. Sergey Kurginyan gives a striking example of such a game, recalling Trump’s migration policy:
“He is doing nothing and will not manage to do anything with migrants – it’s all a show. This show works when one says: ‘Voter! Do you want this to be a white city? Where the people speak only English, where there’s order, and no one commits crimes!’ – ‘Yes’, says the voter, ‘I want it’.’
“Now he [the voter] sees all these TV channels broadcasting how certain charming Latin American or African American women, who are pregnant or have small children, are being dragged into buses by fierce men in military uniforms. They cry, stretch out their hands — it’s already bad, the picture is bad. And it is inevitable. What should be done to make it better? Take a few migrants, quietly relocate them, and do nothing else,” the political scientist said.
Making a show out of his promises, Trump himself becomes a hostage to his game, Sergey Kurginyan notices. And sooner or later he will be forced to rely on the real force that claims dominance in the world.
“If one wants a show — one will falter on that show sooner or later. If one wants something else – then it depends on whom one relies on, what instruments one uses, and what’s next? Follow up!” the analyst adds.
This means that the US will continue to pose a threat to Russia and the world, even a greater one than before, the political scientist noted.
“We are entering an era of wars whether we likes it or not, and, unfortunately, people, including Russians, will have to accept this. This does not mean that anyone wants to wage war. And I personally want peace for the world. But we are entering an era of major wars,” Kurginyan said.
According to the philosopher, the main problem in the modern world is the effete consumer society, which is absolutely incapable of an adequate response to the rapidly changing global situation.
“In these wars, a man who was raised to believe that the Golden Calf is the most important thing, that one must constantly switch between entertainment and shopping, that one needs to warm his body on a beach in Turkey or wherever [will not survive – translator’s note] – history does not need such man. And a man oriented on something else does not exist. And it’s unclear how to create one. And this is a problem for the entire Western civilization,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement concluded.
