The Russian Armed Forces established control over the village of Romanovka, located in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), according to a May 25 report from the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry emphasized that the liberation of the village was the result of coordinated efforts by units of the Group of Forces Yug.
Romanovka, like many other villages in the DPR, has long been at the center of military conflicts. Since the outbreak of hostilities in the region in 2014, the control of these territories has changed multiple times.
The liberation of Romanovka marks an important step in the current context, where each victory plays a crucial role in the further advancement of Russian servicemen.
In recent days, the Russian army has liberated three other villages in the Sumy region and DPR — Loknya, Stupochki, and Otradnoye.
