Contemporary anarchist and postmodernist ideas are leading to a brutal dictatorship, political scientist, philosopher, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on April 18 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
The political scientist explained that anarchists understood human freedom as moral unrestrainedness and believed that the “beast from the abyss” should be unleashed. This idea was very well exposed in Aleksey Tolstoy’s novel The Road to Calvary.
“When this magma, brought to a beastly state, erupts, it will lead to the most brutal dictatorship, to the ‘Iron Heel,’ [as] Jack London called it,” Sergey Kurginyan added.
The political scientist described the anarchist idea as “a union between a dehumanized outcast and a criminal”. At the same time, he noted that among anarchists, “there were sometimes very pure people,” such as Prince Kropotkin, for example.
The US Democratic Party has also recently claimed that it is destroying all taboos in the name of freedom. And at some point, it “turned to the path of postmodernism” and completely abandoned humanistic ideals. At the same time, everything that had sustained democracy until the early 1950s began to disappear, slowly and gradually, noted Sergey Kurginyan.
“What was essentially called the US Democratic Party in recent decades has become a movement toward the Grand Inquisitor, a turn toward the ultimate dehumanization of Man, the idea of creating an ignorant man, infantile, a short-lived ‘happy baby’ – unlike the elites, who will live long,” the philosopher explained.
Kurginyan emphasized that anarchist ideas, together with the “Grand Inquisitor” project that the US Democratic Party has been pursuing in recent decades are creating a new sinister project that has nothing to do with humanism.
“This idea of hell, which erupts (it is called the ‘beast from the abyss’), all this together has created a gigantic pseudo-leftist-democratic entanglement that has nothing to do either with the Bolsheviks ideals, who led people out of hell in order to free Man and reach new heights (into the realm of freedom), or with Roosevelt and his supporters, or Thomas Mann and his new humanism,” concluded the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
