The period of acute political conflict between India and China has started to ease, and now we are now witnessing the very beginning of this mitigation, political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on April 4 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
India will always maintain relations with Russia, keeping “communications contacts with it”, the political scientist stressed. At the same time, it will never completely lose communications with China, the expert said.
“The Indians will oppose to them [the Chinese] as much as they want, however, we are at a moment when the most acute period of yet another conflict between India and China has begun to ease. We are at the very beginning of this mitigation,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement said.
India will keep maneuvering in the relations with Washington and Beijing, but it will no longer be possible to pit it against China, Sergey Kurginyan noted.
“This will never happen. These people are not the same. They are not robots, not compradors. These are clever people, ready for anything, who will always take what they can, maneuver in every possible way, and that’s all,” the political scientist believes.
Kurginyan clarified that the current rivalry is about who will dominate the Global South — China or India — and not about whether it will fall under US control. According to him, “the US has lost it.”
