At least 30 people were killed after a US airstrike targeted a migrant detention center in northwestern Yemen, the Yemeni television channel Al Masirah wrote on April 28.
The channel stated that American fighter jets carried out several strikes on the detention center that held African migrants. A total of 115 people were being held there.
“Rescue workers have so far recovered 30 bodies from under the rubble,” the channel noted.
More than 50 injured individuals were taken to the hospital, with most reported to be in serious condition.
On April 17, the leader of the Shiite military-political movement “Ansar Allah” (Houthis), Abdel-Malik al-Houthi, stated that the US had bombed Yemen more than 900 times in a single month.
