Ukrainian militants on the Krasnoarmeysk direction started using improvised poisonous substances, dropping them from drones, a serviceman from the 60th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Army, callsign “Weiss,” told RIA Novosti on April 28.
“Baba Yaga UAV dropped a five-liter bottle, and there was a stick inside. When it landed, the stick pierced the bottle, and some kind of poisonous substance was released. There was a sharp smell, like acetone,” he said.
Weiss reported that after the incident, it became difficult for the soldiers to breathe, and they began coughing. The soldiers moved to an area with fresh air and waited for the gas to dissipate from the basement where they had been sheltering.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian militants launched a swarm of drones toward the area, anticipating that Russian soldiers would emerge from cover.
