Units of the Russian Armed Forces landed on the right bank of the Dnepr River in Kherson Region, war correspondent Yuri Kotenok wrote on April 28 on his Telegram channel.
“On the right bank, some of our units are working to consolidate their positions, while others are ensuring control over the airspace,” Kotenok wrote.
The war correspondent added that Russian air defense systems are destroying Ukrainian militants’ hexacopters daily.
According to preliminary data, Russian forces are actively engaged in combats in the area of the settlement of Tyaginka.
On April 22 that Russian troops from the Group of Forces Dnepr established several interconnected aerial observation points to eliminate drones of the Ukrainian militants. The drones are being destroyed using Verba man-portable air-defense systems.
In February, it was reported that the Russian armed forces had for the first time deployed a heavy satellite-controlled unmanned bomber at the front.
Earlier, men from Odesa, who had crossed the Dnepr River by boat, detailed how they managed to escape to Russian forces.
