The Indian diaspora in the US is a very strong political power, although its members remain mentally themselves, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on April 4 on the program Conversation with a Sage on radio Zvezda.
He noted that everyone is talking about the influence of the Chinese diaspora on the US policy forgetting about the Indian one, which is as powerful. Comparing the Chinese and the Indian diasporas, the political scientist noted that the Indian one is more powerful because its members co-exist with the Western world easier.
“It is easier for the Indians to enter Western universities etc. I even cannot explain why. Their mind finds an easier contact with the Western mind while remaining what it is,” the philosopher stressed.
At the same time, the Chinese experience difficulties in finding contact with the Western civilization even if they study at Western universities, have scientific degrees, and receive various prizes including the Nobel one. “There is no debate [about this], but there are some difficulties, there is some fundamental incompatibility of the mentalities,” Sergey Kurginyan noted.
According to him, the Indians are more flexible in their contacts with the Western civilization. “Indians are more flexible in everything. They may hate these Western barbarians even stronger than the Chinese do, but they are more flexible,” the political scientist added.
A really major Indian lobby in the US must definitely not be neglected, Sergey Kurginyan stressed.
“There is no America without the Indian diaspora. It exists, it will manipulate certain processes, India will use it in every possible way, and America will use it, too. It will keep cycling between convergence and divergence. It will pulse,” the analyst noted.
At the same time, according to the political scientist, the US will never take a full “control of the Indian geostrategic, geopolitical, or economic policy.”
However, the Indians will welcome the Americans. The Indians will use them in their interests, the leader of the Essence of Time movement concludes.
