750 people were injured as a result of an explosion at the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni announced on April 26, the Tasnim agency informed.
A powerful explosion occurred at a chemical warehouse in the Shahid Rajaee Port of Bandar Abbas.
The blast was so strong that windows were shattered in houses within several kilometers of the site. An investigation into the explosion has been launched. Authorities stated that it is still too early to determine the exact cause of the incident.
