More than 175,000 refugees have returned to the country from Turkey since the change of power in Syria, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on April 16, Anadolu reported.
“Since December 9, 2024, 175,512 of our Syrian brothers and sisters have returned to their country,” the minister said. He said the return of the refugees has been “voluntary, safe, dignified and organized.”
The minister added that the number of refugees who have returned to Syria since 2017 has reached 915,500.
