Yemeni Houthis attacked the US aircraft carrier Harry Truman in the Red Sea, as well as military ships accompanying it, according to a statement made on April 11 on the Telegram channel of the military representative of the Ansar Allah movement, Yahya Saria.
According to him, strikes on the Harry Truman aircraft carrier and US military ships were carried out using several types of cruise missiles and drones.
“A joint operation by various types of forces was carried out in response to US aggression against our country and their crimes against our people,” Saria’s statement reads.
With this attack, the Houthis confirmed that the USA failed to impact Yemen’s military potential with their bombings, the movement’s representative stated.
The US began launching massive strikes on Houthi positions in Yemen on March 15. The USA justifies these strikes by citing the protection of US interests and freedom of navigation. According to US data, more than 300 Houthi targets have been attacked.
