France and Britain are preparing an intervention in Odessa

09.04.2025, Moscow.

The issue of military intervention in Odessa was discussed on April 4-5, 2025 at a meeting in Kiev of the chiefs of general staff of Ukraine, Britain and France, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on April 9.

In essence, they were talking about the parameters of a future Franco-British intervention in Ukraine’s Black Sea ports, primarily Odessa,” Zakharova noted.

Any option to deploy military contingents of individual NATO members or the entire alliance in Ukraine would be seen in Moscow as a threat, leading to conflict.

According to Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the deployment of peacekeeping troops on the territory of Ukraine is not allowed without the consent of the warring parties.
