Russia should discriminate Taliban (organization banned in Russia) and the traditional Turkic world, and it should seek any possible convergence with the Turkic nations, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on March 21 on the program Conversation with a Sage on radio Zvezda.
Speaking about the factor of Taliban (organization banned in Russia), the political scientist noted that we must not mix it altogether.
He stressed that Russia needs to build relations with “our traditional Turkic component, with which we have had hundreds of years of living together and towards which we must be most kind and warm.” However, according to him, while building these relations Russia must demonstrate certain performance and clearly understand what it has to deal with.
“We must be most complimentary to the Turkic people, just because of their great number. We do not want an internal conflict in addition to the external one, do we? Perfectly complimentary, yes, and search for any ways of convergence between the Turkic and what is traditionally called Slavic,” the leader of Essence of Time said.
At the same time, Sergey Kurginyan stressed that if Russia loses this Turkic factor and allows it to be controlled from elsewhere, then the Turkic people will transform from a fraternal people into the primary threat. According to the political scientist, the Persians are not a threat because they are not present in Russia as a major contingent, but the Turkic peoples are a threat.
“Therefore, we must combine these sweet and bitter things. We must be as competent as possible, otherwise it will kill our country,” Kurginyan explained.
