Russian soldiers liberate Gogolevka in Kursk Region

Russian soldiers liberated Gogolevka in Kursk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on March 28.

Servicemen of the Group of Forces Sever liberated the village as a result of offensive actions. The Russian Armed Forces also struck enemy positions near Gornal, Guevo, and Oleshnya.

Gogolevka is located approximately halfway between Sudzha and the Russian-Ukrainian border.

On August 6, Ukrainian militants invaded Kursk Region and captured Russian territory up to Sudzha, Lyubimovka, and Martynovka. The Russian Armed Forces have now almost completely liberated the region.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian militants have lost over 70,000 killed and wounded during combat operations in Kursk Region. These were among the most trained and motivated units of the Ukrainian army and foreign mercenaries.
