20.03.2025, Sudzha.

Kursk Region resident Shavkat Khamidov shared details of Operation Potok, aimed at liberating the industrial zone in Sudzha on March 19, as reported by RIA Novosti.

The civilian, according to his account, treated tea to Russian soldiers covered in tar who had emerged from a pipeline behind enemy lines.

“In the morning, I got up to brush my teeth, turned around, and saw our soldiers near the house. They came to us, sat down, and we gave them tea. Then they started telling us how they had walked 15 kilometers. We listened, and one of them said, ‘If you want, I’ll show you how it was.’ He took off his hood, and his head was completely covered in tar — his hair was black. Tar doesn’t wash off easily,” Khamidov recounted.

On the morning of August 6, 2024, the Ukrainian armed units launched an offensive aimed at capturing territory in Kursk Region, but their advance was halted by the Russian Armed Forces.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on February 19 that servicemen of the Russian 810th Brigade, which is engaged in combat in Kursk Region, crossed the Russian border and entered enemy territory, with Russian troops advancing along the entire front line.

A counter-terrorism operation regime is in effect in the Kursk, Belgorod, and Bryansk Regions to ensure security.

Earlier, the Volunteer Corps reported that the reconnaissance and assault brigade Veterans and the assault brigade Vostok of the Volunteer Corps, together with units of the 11th Airborne Brigade, the 72nd Motorized Rifle Brigade, and the Aida unit of the Akhmat special forces, executed a flanking maneuver around the Ukrainian grouping in Sudzha, Kursk Region, using a gas pipeline and constructing an underground passage behind enemy lines. As a result, the industrial zone in Sudzha was liberated.
