Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal block arms supply plan for Ukraine

Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal rejected the plan proposed by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas to supply weapons to Ukraine worth €40 billion ($43.5 billion), La Stampa reported on March 20.

“Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal have rejected Kaja Kallas’ plan to supply weapons to Ukraine worth €40 billion,” the publication stated.

According to La Stampa, the proposed aid package may be reduced to €5 billion.
