The Russian Investigative Committee revealed details of the murder of a pregnant woman and an elderly resident of Kursk Region by Ukrainian militants. The information was published on March 18 on the department’s Telegram channel.
According to the investigation, in August 2024, during the early days of the invasion, Ukrainian militants fired on two civilian vehicles in Kurilovka, Sudzha District. The cars were carrying civilians attempting to evacuate. As a result of the attack, a pregnant woman was killed. Identification of the deceased is underway, and necessary examinations have been ordered.
Another incident occurred in February 2025 in the village of Pogrebki. Ukrainian soldiers discovered an elderly couple hiding in the basement of a house. Initially, they threw a grenade into the basement, but the couple survived. The militants then shot the woman in front of her husband.
Additionally, the Ukrainian militants fired on a vehicle carrying residents trying to flee Kazachya Loknya. One person was injured as a result.
