Ukrainian airborne assault units attempted to infiltrate Russia’s Belgorod Region, Telegram channel Severny Veter (Northern Wind), which reports on the actions of Russia’s Group of Forces Sever, wrote on March 18.
Enemy forces attempted to infiltrate Belgorod Region near the villages of Grafovka and Prilesye, but Russian troops thwarted the attempt.
The Kiev regime used three airborne assault groups under the cover of tanks and employed engineering equipment (UR-77, IMR) to breach defensive barriers.
“The enemy’s attempt was unsuccessful!!! More details to come,” the channel wrote.
Earlier, Apti Alaudinov, Deputy Head of Russia’s Main Military-Political Directorate and commander of the Akhmat special forces, mentioned Ukraine’s failed attempts to hold three villages in Kursk Region. He described these efforts as futile, stating that Ukrainian troops suffered heavy losses, while the Russian Armed Forces have already advanced into Sumy Region.
