US airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, have resulted in the deaths of nine people, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement’s government stated on March 15.
“As a result of a series of US airstrikes on civilian targets in the capital, Sanaa, nine civilians were killed and nine were injured,” the press service stated.
Earlier, the Al Hadath TV channel reported that missile strikes were carried out on Houthi positions in Sanaa. Three missiles destroyed a Houthi facility in the Jiraf district, located near the television building in Sanaa.
Previously, US President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered the armed forces to begin military operations against the Houthis in Yemen.
On March 12, reports emerged that Yemen’s Houthis had resumed attacks on ships linked to Israel in the Red and Arabian Seas.
