Two British spies operating under the cover of the British Embassy in Moscow were exposed, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) press service informed on March 10.
It is reported that the FSB of Russia uncovered illegal intelligence activities by the United Kingdom under the guise of its national embassy in Moscow.
The FSB found that the second secretary of the embassy, Alkesh Odedra, and the husband of the first secretary of the political department of the diplomatic mission, Michael Skinner, provided false information upon entering Russia and were engaged in intelligence and subversive activities.
“The FSB of Russia will continue to work to counter the intelligence and subversive activities of foreign special services by all available means,” the special service stated.
It has been decided to revoke the accreditation of both individuals and expel them from Russia within two weeks.
