An optimistic forecast of relations with the United States under the administration of Donald Trump and his conservative team would be wrong, political scientist, philosopher, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said in an interview with BelTA TV channel on January 30.
“If your child is sick, you want a truthful diagnosis, not an optimistic one. You want an optimistic diagnosis when it doesn’t affect you much. And when it is a matter of life and death, you want the correct one,” Kurginyan noted.
According to him, the US remains a powerful factor in world politics and perceives itself as Rome, as an empire.
“One of the main factors is this Roman worldview. Not a sense of a large country that participates in world politics along with others, but a sense of Rome. Literally Rome,” the political scientist emphasized.
Moreover, today the USA is Rome of the period of decline, when it is most dangerous.
The political scientist noted that Donald Trump shows certain arrogance and intends to act from a position of strength, while making a show out of politics. Despite any meetings between delegations from Moscow and Washington in Riyadh, Russia remains an enemy for the United States and is even more dangerous than China, which is also a serious enemy.
The US president will try to “subjugate” everyone, including Moscow, and further act depending on whether the opponent “submits” or not.
At the same time, the Trump team, which includes such figures as J.D. Vance and Elon Musk – military and technocrats for whom there is no taboo for any crimes, including against their own population – is of great importance, Sergey Kurginyan pointed out.
According to the philosopher, the 21st century will inevitably be “violent and bloody,” as the US elite is ready to use any means in the struggle for domination.
Nevertheless, the analyst noted that there are chances to win, as problems are solved by people, and the world is always more complicated than anything one models.
The leader of the Essence of Time movement called for action and faith in Russia. “This faith must unite with intelligence, not oppose it. And then victory is possible,” Sergey Kurginyan emphasized.
