A senior resident of the village of Nikolaevo-Daryino in Kursk Region recounted how Ukrainian militants executed her husband, as recorded by military investigators from the Russian Investigative Committee. RIA Novosti reported the testimony, captured on video, on March 1.
The woman said that she lived in the village of Nikolaevo-Daryino under Ukrainian occupation from August 6 to February 5.
“[The Ukrainian militants – Rossa Primavera News Agency] killed my husband, killed another family, executed them. My husband was killed on December 1 when he went home to get some water. I waited and waited, then I heard a burst of automatic gunfire,” she said.
When her husband did not return, she went home to look for him. “I started calling out to him, but no one answered. I was about to leave when I heard groaning. I thought it was a Ukrainian soldier, but when I looked closer, it was my husband, already dying,” she added.
According to her, neighbors helped transport his body to her parents’ property, where they buried him.
Russian military investigators are continuing to document and investigate crimes committed by Ukrainian militants and foreign mercenaries in Kursk Region and other Russian border areas. Some war criminals have already been convicted, while others are awaiting trial and sentencing.
