BRICS countries will be informed about the results of negotiations with the United States by the Russian side, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference on February 19.
“For our part, without any doubt, we will inform our friends within the BRICS,” the president said. He said the BRICS countries were very interested in resolving the conflict in Ukraine and ending the hostilities.
They will be informed about the results of the US-Russian talks in the nearest future, Putin assured.
On February 18, negotiations between the delegations of Russia and the United States took place in Riyadh. On the Russian side, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and presidential aide Yury Ushakov took part in them. On the US side were Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Assistant to the President Mike Waltz and Special Envoy to the Middle East Steven Whitkoff.
The meeting expressed the intention on both sides to consider renewed cooperation in space, energy and other sectors.
